If a guy steals your chicken but brings you back a couple of eggs, does that make it okay for him to take your bird? If a guy cuts down your cherry tree but leaves you some cherry seeds, does that make it okay for him to steal your wood? If a guy steals your car but brings it back to you one month later, does that make it okay for him to “borrow” your primary source of transportation?
What if he needed the chicken to feed his family, the wood to keep from freezing and the car to take his kids to school during the coldest month of the year? Does that justify his stealing your chicken, your tree and your car? Absolutely not! You may be sympathetic to his situation and you may even want to help him out, but your emotional response to his dilemma will never justify his criminal actions.
This is exactly what the illegal aliens are doing in America. They are stealing your tax dollars every day their kid goes to a public school. They are stealing your tax dollars every time they require government paid medical assistance. They are stealing your tax dollars every minute that law enforcement has to focus their attention on investigating and apprehending illegal aliens. Illegal aliens are tearing down the financial foundation of America. How will Americans be able to help anyone else in this world if we become too broke to support ourselves? If Americans want to help these people, they can start a charity which pays for them to survive in their home country.
Illegal aliens may have a need and they may provide certain services and even benefits to this country, but the law is the law. Their crimes cannot be justified by their need or our sympathy. Many Americans are sympathetic to the plight of the illegal aliens. Many Americans would do great things to help these people get past their impoverished situation. However, allowing them to break the law to get what they want is not the answer.
We may not like our traffic laws, but we must respect them and we must pay the penalty when we get caught violating them. We may not appreciate certain governmental policies, but we must follow specific procedures in order to voice our opposition. We may not like everything that our elected officials are doing, but we must live with it at least until the next election, because we voted them into office in the first place.
The illegal aliens may not like our immigration laws, but they must be required to abide by them. Illegal aliens may not respect our national policies, but that does not give them the right to oppose our government on our soil. Illegal aliens may not agree with our representatives, but they do not have the right to stage massive protests in our streets. These rights are reserved for American citizens and our legal guests. Our Preamble of the Constitution of this country begins, “We the people of the United States of America”. Our government and our laws are of the people, by the people and for the people. Any people? No, “The people of the United States of America”. Make no mistake about it. Illegal aliens are not part of “We the people”.
The facts of the case are this. We have laws here in America. If you break those laws, you deserve to get caught. If you get caught, you deserve a fair trial. If you are found guilty at your trial, you deserve a just punishment. We expect our judicial system to uphold these principles.
Illegal aliens break our laws to get here and steal our tax dollars daily. Now they are demanding “just laws” to protect them and their illegal status. This is not how things work here in America. If you want to change the policies of this government, you have to respect our laws and go through the proper channels. Illegal aliens are not exempt from this requirement anymore than you or I.
Illegal aliens are breaking the laws of this country and they deserve the same fair treatment that we deserve as American citizens when we break the laws. They deserve to be fairly prosecuted and to be fairly punished in accordance with the laws of this great land. They deserve to be deported back to their home country. What they do not deserve is special consideration or treatment, just because of their potential contribution to our society.
I agree with you 100%. The illegal aliens are getting special consideration from the government and from the courts at the insistence of those business people who take advantage of their cheap labor. Such wicked, un-American, selfish robbers are going to be the death of this country. They don’t care about ANYTHING but themselves. If such employers were required to spend ten years in prison for hiring an illegal alien the aliens would soon disappear.
