Al, could it be that there is culpability with the church as well (by this I don't mean individual churches but the collective Body)? We have played "hands off" for so long and some churches have bought into this "seperation of church and state" as means to keep from being bothered with matters of state while in the pews. It has contributed to an atmosphere where incidents like this have become more prevalent.

Yes, the school officals are at fault here. Where is the accountability? Where is the outcry from the silent majority who would support Jed and Andrew? What if the Body of believers began to engage themselves in matters of the state (as our founders did). We would have a very different culture- a renewed "state affirming" sanctity for life (which would have a dramatic affect on both the moral AND economic climate of our nation), an understanding of our founding papers which are explicit in their Judeo-Christian inspirations.

The truth is, the state will never govern itself properly in these matters until the Body begins to get engaged.

Joshua 1:9 "Have not I commanded you? Be strong and courageous..."

Thanks for another good editorial!
